Dorothy M. "Dot" Roller, 94, a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Saturday morning at Homewood.

She was born in Williamsburg, a daughter of the late Ralph T. and Pearl (Sparr) White. She married Drew G. Roller on May 3, 1941, in Winchester VA. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1986.

Surviving is a daughter, Gloria M. Sweeney and a son, Richard D., both of Williamsburg; a granddaughter, Jennifer Sweeney (husband, Bradley Standley) of Gilbert, AZ; and 2 great-grandchildren: Ethan and Kaitlyn Standley.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, MaryAnn Roller on August 16, 1993; a grandson, Sean W. Sweeney on June 24, 2013; a sister, Bernadine Flaig; and a brother, Marion White.

Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, and played the piano at her church and other Williamsburg area Lutheran churches. She was also a member of the Williamsburg Historical Society.

She was primarily a homemaker, who enjoyed playing piano, painting, and traveling.

Dorothy was a 1938 graduate of Williamsburg High School, and a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich and Pastor Richard J. Harter, officiating. Interment will follow at Royer Cemetery, Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to her church or the Home Nursing Agency Hospice.
