Earl W. Thomas, 87, of Defiance, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away on April 15, 2025 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center – Roaring Spring. He was born on July 30, 1937 in Wood; son of the late Earl and Roxie (Spencer) Thomas.

Earl was a Class of 1955 graduate of Saxton Liberty High School and attended the Round Knob Church of God. He worked in the trucking industry, filling roles of management and logistics; he retired from Warnaco in Duncansville. Earl enjoyed hunting, guns, and socializing. He was a member of the Hollidaysburg Sportsman Club.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lorraine (Rogers) Thomas; a son, Timothy L. Thomas in 1987; a granddaughter, Jennifer Michael; and siblings, Gwenny and Savannah. Surviving is daughter, Penny Cole of Melbourne, FL; daughter, Jody Cole of Montoursville, PA; son, Daniel Thomas (Sherrie) of Port Richey, FL; grandchildren, Kristen, Nicole, Daniel, Alex, Ryan, and Jessica; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nelda Meck of Round Knob, Elouise Woodrow (Tom) of Martinsburg, Judy Snavely of Beaver Falls, Helen Elder (Jack) of Saxton, Debbie Abbott of Saxton, David Thomas (Joy) of Defiance, James Thomas (Betty) of Cassville; and Thomas Thomas of East Freedom.

At request of the deceased, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Please check the funeral home website for information as it becomes available.
