Edgar Harold Litzinger 75, of Martinsburg passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025.  He was born in Spangler, a son of the late Clement and Agnes (Kruise) Litzinger.  On March 4, 2004 in Turks & Caicos Beach he married Rhonda (Miller) Gottshall Litzinger.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; two children: Jennifer Anderson (Bob), of St. Lawrence, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 James Litzinger (Anna), of Fort Drum, NY; two step-children: Kyle Gottshall (Skyler), of Roaring Spring, and Macy Beal (Jeff), of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren: Malia, Ryan, Henry, Abigail, Dominick, Brayden, Gabriel, Juliana, and Beckett; best friend Joe Zurenko, and his former wife Dianne Litzinger.  He was preceded in death by three siblings: Rita Delpierre, Eileen Litzinger, and Joe Litzinger, son-in-law Trooper Landon E. Weaver, and his dog Willow.

Ed was a 1967 graduate of Cambria Heights High School, Patton, and a 1989 graduate of the COTA program at Mount Aloysuis College, Cresson.  He was United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving from January 1968 until September of 1970, attaining the rank of Specialist 5th Class. Ed was an Occupational Therapy Assistant for Health South, Altoona, and later worked for the Home Nursing Agency.  Ed was a member of the Queen of Peace Parrish, Patton, and was a Chevrolet Corvette enthusiast.

Friends will be received from 10 am until noon on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Zion Lutheran Church, 217 Plum Street, Williamsburg, where a funeral will begin at 12:00 noon with Rev. John H. Kratz officiating.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard and the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675; or the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Wall of Healing, c/o John Clay, 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602.  Arrangements are by the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc, Martinsburg.
