Edward Curtis McIlnay, 75, of Yellow Creek, passed away on March 24, 2025 at his home. He was born on November 4, 1949 in Roaring Spring; son of the late Jack B. and June M. (Hale) McIlnay. On June 13, 1970 in Loysburg, he was united in marriage to Joyce Ann (Imler) McIlnay, who survives.
Edward was a Class of 1967 graduate of Northern Bedford County High School and member of the Bedford Forge Community Church. He served his country during the Vietnam War as Military Police in the Army. Edward was previously employed by Kennametal, Delta Drilling, and later, Clark Contractors Inc. as a finish carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, reading, working in his woodshop, attending church and reading his Bible, and the time he spent with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Joyce Ann McIlnay; son, David Edward McIlnay (Bobbi) of Hopewell; daughter, Sheila Marie Clark (Marl Jr.) of Everett; daughter, Christina Ann Fisher (Eric) of Manheim; grandchildren, Zachary, Brady, Clay, Lacy, Katelyn, Landon, and Molly; and sisters, Carole J. Smith (Buck) and Linda K. Snider.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Bedford Forge Community Church and Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at the church; Pastor Beth Pyles officiating. Interment will be in Bedford Forge Cemetery.
If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Edward’s name may be given to the Bedford Forge Community Church (384 Jacks Corner Rd. Hopewell, PA 16650), VA-Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House (3945 Forbes Ave., PO Box 240 Pittsburgh, PA 15213), or the Bedford Forge Cemetery.
