Edward M. “Ed” Chamberlain, 81, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at his home, following a long extended illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Melvin and Sara L. (Rabenstein) Chamberlain. On May 1, 1971 he married Dolores I. “Blondie” Clark in Winchester, VA..
Surviving are his beloved wife, Blondie of 53 years; two daughters: Heidi McCready (Dan) and Cami Chamberlain (Wayne Baker); two sons: Jeff Chamberlain and Steve Chamberlain; seven grandchildren: Tiffany, Haley, Brady, Madison and Brooklyn McCready, Kevin Holland and Cassie Householder; four sisters: Peggy A. Funk, Audrey E. Painter, Marjorie C. Wisker (Bob) and Mary E. Porter (Tom).
Ed was a 1960 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He retired as a quality control specialist from Beasley Rebuilders, Altoona and as a mechanic from Sears Automotive, Altoona, with a combined 38 years of service.
He loved spending time with his family, his pet dogs and cooling off in their swimming pool. Ed also enjoyed tinkering with old cars, especially fords.
Friends will be received from 5-7pm, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will begin at 7pm. Private interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
