Edwin T. Fletcher "Ted"

March 16, 1938 — January 3, 2020

Edwin T. Fletcher “Ted”, 81, of Martinsburg, formerly of Waterside, passed away on January 3, 2020 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. He was born on March 16, 1938 in Roaring Spring; son of the late Edwin C. and Grace E. (Eshelman) Fletcher. On February 21, 1960 at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren he was united in marriage to L. Geraldine (Bassler) Fletcher. She preceded him in death on August 31, 1992. Edwin was a graduate of Replogle High School and worked as a Route Salesman for Ritchey ‘s Dairy for many years. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Edwin was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following local, college, and professional sporting events. He had a great passion for playing baseball, football, softball, tennis, and participated in league bowling. Edwin enjoyed vacationing and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife L. Geraldine; brother Larry Fletcher; and sisters Barbara Fletcher and Sharon Watkins. Surviving are son Doyle Fletcher (fiancé Vicki Miller) of Martinsburg; daughter Sonja King of Huntingdon; grandson Curtis King of Front Royal, VA; sister Arlene Kagarise; and son-in-law Richard King.  Friends will be received on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 from 12:00-1:00PM. At 1:00PM a funeral service will take place with Pastor David Ulm officiating. All of the above will be held at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
