Elda F. (Reffner) Mock

Elda F. Mock, 97, of Martinsburg, formerly of Woodbury, passed away on August 20, 2018 at Homewood at Martinsburg. She was born on September 16, 1920 in New Enterprise, daughter of the late Wilson and Sallie (Bowser) Reffner. Elda was a 1938 graduate of the J. Leonard Replogle High School. On July 30, 1942 in Winchester Virginia, she married Earl E. Mock. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2000. Elda was a member of the Ore Hill Union Church where she played piano for many years. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, and gardening. Elda was preceded in death by a son John W. Mock; son-in-law James McClelland; and brothers Albert and James Reffner. Surviving are daughter Sally A. McClelland of New Cumberland; son Stephen E. Mock (Joan) of Martinsburg; son Timothy A. Mock (Kate) of Hopewell; daughter-in-law Donna Mock of Eufaula, OK; brother Joe Reffner of Centerville; as well as 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM and Friday, August 24, 2018 from 10:00-11:00AM. At 11:00AM Friday, a funeral service will take place with Rev. Larry Graybill officiating. All of the above will be held at the Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery.
