Elizabeth “Betsy” G. (Thompson) Domitrovich

Elizabeth “Betsy” G. Domitrovich, 76, of Martinsburg, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Saturday morning, September 21, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born in Huntingdon, daughter of the late Harold M. and Betty L. (McDaniel) Thompson. On April 24, 1971 she married William S. “Bill” Domitrovich at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Martinsburg and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2014.
Surviving are cousins: Joyce Williams, Bette Jean England and William Downey all in Ohio, Karyn Ritchey and Arthur McDaniel of Alexandria; lifelong friends: Lynn and Regina Blattenberger; “special daughter”, Kay Lynne Klotz and her husband, Colin; and their children: Hunter, Alex and Kyle Klotz “Betsy’s grandchildren”; special friends, Lloy and Betty Blattenberger and families; and Charlotte and Whiteley Claar and families.
Betsy was a 1965 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School but in her heart, she was always a Williamsburg Blue Pirate Alumna. She was also a 1968 graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce, where she earned an associate degree in Accounting and Business Management.
She worked in the banking profession for 40 years, holding many different positions in the banking industry. Betsy also took numerous banking courses through the years and in 2002 obtained her license to sell insurance and annuities.
Betsy was a member of numerous organizations including: Central PA Humane Society, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Kanab, UT, Renfrew Museum and Park (DWS), Waynesboro, Williamsburg Vol. Fire Company, Williamsburg Community Betterment, Williamsburg Heritage and Historical Society and Friends of Royer Mansion Committee (Blair County Historical Society).
She loved her pet dogs (Sid, Snoopy and Sam) and also enjoyed working on crafts of all kind, sewing, traveling and cooking. Betsy was always glad to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Friends will be received from 1 until 2pm, Friday, September 27, 2024 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a memorial service will begin at 2pm at the funeral home, Pastor H. Lloy Blattenberger officiating. Private interment will be held at Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.
