Ella E. (Steele) Snyder

Ella E. Snyder, 91, of Martinsburg, formerly of New Enterprise, passed away on July 10, 2016 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. Born on October 20, 1924 in Yellow Creek, the daughter of John I. and Ethel F. (Miller) Steele. On January 29, 1949 at Raven Run she married Ray E. Snyder who preceded her in death on February 6, 2016. Ella enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and most importantly, being a mother and caring for her children. She was a member of the Waterside Church of the Brethren. Survivors include daughter Lucille Dell (George) of Henrietta; daughter Wilma Wiest (Willard) of New Enterprise; son Merle Snyder of New Enterprise; son Paul Snyder (Janet) of New Enterprise; brother Luther O. Steele (Dorothy) of Martinsburg; and grandchildren Shane Snyder, Sara Smith (Andy), Heather Wiest, Amanda Wiest, Willard Wiest III, and Becky Graybill (Steven).  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. On Thursday, July 14, 2016 a funeral service will take place at the Waterside Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mike Benner officiating at 11:00AM. Friends will be received the hour before the service. Interment at Holsinger Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Waterside Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by the S.
