Ella M. Martin, 75, of Martinsburg passed away unexpectedly on Monday at Conemaugh Nason. She was born in Leola, Lancaster County, PA, a daughter of the late David and Hettie (Martin) Zimmerman. She was united in marriage to Ammon Z. Martin on November 26, 1970.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, six sons, and five daughters; Mervin (MaryAnn) of Martinsburg, Marian (LaVern) Zeiset of WI, Ammon Jr (Cora) of WI, Justus (the late Jane) of Martinsburg, David (Marlene) of Martinsburg, Elva (Raymond) Fox, of WI, Rufus (Susan) of New Enterprise, Eldon (Martha) of Martinsburg, Ruth (Paul) Martin of New Enterprise, Marie (Roy) Zimmerman of New Enterprise, Lucy (Timothy) Zimmerman of New Enterprise, 62 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Noah (Lizzie) of Roaring Spring, and Daniel (Erla) of Shippensburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 great-granddaughter.
Ella was a member of Martinsburg Old Order Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). She was a homemaker and together with her husband, they founded Peach Hill Orchard in 1972.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at her residence (1360 Curryville Road, Martinsburg, PA 16662). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 beginning at 9:30 AM at the Martinsburg Old Order Mennonite Church. Interment will be at the adjoining church cemetery.
