ELLIS J. SOLLENBERGER, 87, Of Salemville Road New Enterprise. Died 08/07/2014 at Homewood at Martinsburg. Born 10/07/1926 in Mench PA the son of Jake and Pearl (Woy) Sollenberger. Married Jane (Baker) on 06/07/1953 in New Enterprise who died 08/18/1997. He was a member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren, A Jersey Cow dairy Farmer and helped his sons farm after retiring, He grad. In 1944 from Everett Area H.S., He was a member of the Bedford farm bureau, in his younger life worked with Middle Pennsylvania District Youth Board, Member of the Grange, the New Enterprise REA Board of Directors since 1983-2014., he was a Deacon and served on the Church Board, he was a Sunday School Teacher both youth and adults all a the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren.
Survived: One daughter Naomi Sollenberger, three sons Nevin Sollenberger and wife Laura, Mark Sollenberger and wife Denise, Norman Sollenberger all of New Enterprise. One brother Lloyd Sollenberger of Everett, 8 grandchildren Leanna, Nolan, Ben, Lacey, Willie, Andrew, Daniel and Mathew. Preceded by two brothers: Robert and Ray and a Daughter in law Cindy.
Friends Received: 6-8pm Sunday the 10th and 10-11am Monday the 11th all at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren, where an 11am service will by held by Pastor Andrew Duffey Committal service will be held at the Koontz Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to the New Enterprise Church Disaster Relief fund. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
