Elsie M. (Grace) Hoover

Elsie Hoover, known by many as Nana, 78, of Roaring Spring RD, went to her heavenly home on November 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 15, 1940 in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Don and Bernice (Garis) Grace. On August 29, 1959 at the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church she married Lawrence (Fat) Hoover. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2001. Elsie was a 1958 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School and was employed at NPC as a floor supervisor until the age of 75. She was a member of the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church and enjoyed watching her son and grandsons’ dirt track races, shopping for and decorating her home, and gardening. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Fat; and brothers Bob and Lloyd Grace. Surviving are son David Hoover (Linda) of Woodbury; daughters Bernice Naugle (Duane) of Bedford, Jackie Imler (Jeff) of New Enterprise, and Karen Kaizen (Jerry) of Monroe, NC; brothers Lester, Jesse, Roger, and Bill Grace; sisters Nancy Lankard and Mary Kay Musselman; grandchildren Preston Imler (Lorrie), Justin Naugle (Brandi), Donn Imler (Arielle Long), Wesley Imler (Jenna), Ashely Miller (Bryan), Katie Thomas (Andrew), Andrew Naugle (Kalan), David Imler (Katie), Whitney Mountain, Brandon Hoover (Alexis), and Hayden Kaizen; great-grandchildren Brady, Parker, Cameryn, Bella, Khloe, Caleb, Skylar, Zoey, Addison, Lincoln, Aubrey, Keria, Charlee, Lennon, Kylie, Cheyenne, Sadie, Tyler, and Mystee. Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 4:00-8:00PM and Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 9:00-10:00AM. At 10:00AM, Wednesday, a Funeral Service will take place with Jerry Kaizen officiating. All of the above will be held at the Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Elsie’s name can be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Nana will always be remembered for her loving, giving, and caring heart.
