Emma L. Blough-Clabaugh

Emma L. Blough-Clabuagh, 93, Williamsburg, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday afternoon at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in rural Williamsburg, one of identical twins born to the late Jesse B. and Ellen K. (Wicker) Banks.  She was twice married, first to James C. Blough on October 14, 1939 in Frankstown and he passed away November 21, 1986, and then to Glenn E. Clabaugh on August 13, 1995 in Seward, and he passed on December 20, 2002.

Surviving are 3 daughters: Mary E. Shriver (husband, Sam) of rural Williamsburg, Marjorie A. Ferry (husband, Lee) of Fredericksburg, and Virginia L. Kelly of Martinsburg; a son, James C. Blough (wife, Susan) of Williamsburg; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Donna Thomas of Tyrone; and a brother, John Banks in North Carolina

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donald L. Shriver; 2 sisters: twin, Elizabeth L. Detwiler, and Faye Wagner; and a brother, Jesse B. Banks Jr.

Emma attended grade school in rural Williamsburg and high school at Morrisons Cove High School,

She retired from the Envelope Division of Westvaco, Williamsburg and had previously worked at the Cove Shoe Factory, Martinsburg.

Emma was a lifetime, active member of Clappertown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, rural Williamsburg where she served in various capacities.

She formerly served as the secretary for the Royer Cemetery Association, rural Williamsburg.  Emma loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and doing crossword and word search puzzles.

Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral will be held at 11am, Friday, April 17, 2015, Pastor Vaughn R. Kanagy officiating.  Interment to follow at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to her church or the Williamsburg Ambulance Club.
