Ethel Mae Martin, 93, of Martinsburg, formerly of Moon Township, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, May 1, 2025, at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.

She was born at home in Henrietta, daughter of the late Howard J. and Edna G. (Hinish) Beach.  On March 31, 1951, she married Daryl W. Martin at Memorial Church of the Brethren and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1972, following 21 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Pamela M. McKee (Kevin) of Bulger, PA; two grandchildren: Kate McKee of Bulger, PA, and Ryan McKee (Leah) of Moon Township; a sister, Bonnie E. Flaugh (Don) of East Freedom; and two great-grandchildren: Conner and Cora McKee, and many nieces and nephews that she loved.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa M. Martin; a son, Michael C. Martin; three sisters: infant Patricia Ann Beach, Ruth E. Beach, and Audrey E. Beach; and four brothers: infant Jackie Leroy Beach, Earl G. Beach, H. Eugene Beach, and Ray W. Beach.

Ethel was a 1949 graduate of Martinsburg High School. Following graduation, she was a phone operator for United Telephone, Martinsburg. She then went on to work at Moon Township High School cafeteria and at the Airport Restaurant at Blair County Airport as a cook.

She was a member of Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg. Ethel loved to cook and bake, especially for her family. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and working with flowers.

Friends will be received from 12 noon to 1 pm, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm, Pastor Caleb Moses officiating. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
