Ethel M. Miller, 97, Hickory Bottom Road, rural Martinsburg, passed away early Wednesday morning at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.

She was born in Martinsburg daughter of the late Andrew D. and Luella M. (Steele) Morgan.  Ethel was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lloyd E. Miller, who died on November 30, 2006.

Ethel is survived by a daughter, Joyce M. Shildt (husband, Kenneth); 4 grandchildren: Kenneth (wife Denise), Jayme, Kevin (wife, Lora), and Jill; 3 great-grandchildren: Michael, Megan and Melina; a sister, Doris (Morgan) Ritchey; a brother, James Morgan; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by infant twin sons; a sister, Kathryn (Morgan) Shoop; a sister-in-law, Gladys (Forshey) Morgan; and 2 brothers-in-law, Harry Shoop and Leo “Red” Ritchey.

Ethel was a member of Woodbury Church of the Brethren, Shady Trail Riding Club and many community and service organizations.

Friends will be received from 2-5pm, Sunday, October 2, 2016 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Monday, October 3, 2016 at the funeral home, Pastor David Ulm officiating.  Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
