Eva Mae Helsel

     Eva Mae Helsel, 88, of Hope Mills, NC formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away into the loving arms of her savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday,   January 21, 2026.

     Eva was born on April 29, 1937, to the late Ira K. and Bertha (Smith) Stern. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 58 years, Samuel Darryl Helsel.

     At the request of Eva, there will be no services. Private interment at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg. Arrangements by the La Fayette Funeral Home, Fayetteville, NC.  Local arrangements by the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg.
