F. Larry Kulp

Francis Larry Kulp, 77, of rural Martinsburg went home to be with his Lord, Friday afternoon, December 11, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

He was born in Sellersville, son of the late Francis B. and Kathryn A. (Moyer) Kulp.  On September 28, 1963 he married Mary Ann Rice in Perkasie.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 57 years; a daughter, Jennifer K. Martin (Bruce) of Richmond, VA; a son, Philip L. Kulp (Rebecca) of rural Martinsburg; 10 grandchildren: Josiah B. Martin (Hannah), Laura A. Grubbs (Ryan), Nathan J. Martin, Zachary S. Martin, Kyle M. Kulp, Kathryn E. Kulp, Mary R. Kulp, Grace S. Kulp, Cooper P. Kulp and Hank L. Kulp; two sisters: Mary Godshall of Telford and Martha Weaver of Denver, PA; and a brother, John Kulp of Harleysville.

Larry was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Suzanne R. Kulp.

He was a 1960 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School, Lansdale.  Larry was a longtime, faithful member of Martinsburg Mennonite Church, where he taught Sunday school and served as youth leader.

In 1973 Larry and Mary Ann began the Lar-Ann Dairy Farm in rural Martinsburg, which they owned and operated for 26 years.  Then in 1999 the farm changed to Kulp Family Dairy LLC, and is currently owned and operated by their son, Phil and his family.

Larry served on the Spring Cove School Board and was the cove representative for the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center.  For eight years he served as a corporate board member for Land O'Lakes and during his many years of farming, earned the Master Farmer Award.  He has continued to support the family farm throughout the years, helping with various agricultural promotions and has always been a tremendous advocate for dairy farming.

He was an incredibly generous, loving and caring person, who always placed God, family and others before himself.  Larry at all times was kind hearted and supportive, a true contagious encourager.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions all services will be private.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
