OBIT.
FERDINAND (FERDY) A. WACHTER, 71, Salemville Road New Enterprise, PA died 09/24/2013 at his home. Born 12/14/1941 in Johnstown, the son of Joseph F. and Gladys (Pearl) (Walter) Wachter. Married Margaret (Peg) (Whetstone) on 09/02/1960 at Friends Cove. He was a member of the St. Johns Reform Church on Loysburg, PA. He was a self employed Plasterer and Dry Waller. He enjoyed Hunting, fishing, mowing the yard and was a Host father to fourteen AFS Exchange Students. He was a member of the Southern Cove Rod and Gun Club and the NRA.
Survivors: His Wife two sons Merle D. Wachter and Timothy W. Wachter and wife Lisa, all of New Enterprise, one sister Barbara Robinson of Maitland FL and one brother Joseph f. Wachter the fourth of New Enterprise, one step-grandson Nicholas Sherlock, Numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by a sister Gladys Shaffer.
Friends received: 4 – 8pm Friday the 27th at the S Gerald Weaver Funeral Home and 10-11am Sat. the 28th at the St. Johns Reform Church, Loysburg, where an 11am service will be held by Rev. Dr. David Meckley interment in the Berger Cemetery in Salemville. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury
