Frances R. Wyerman

Frances R. Wyerman, 91, of rural Williamsburg, passed away Friday morning, January 26, 2024 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Louis P. and Joann M. “Jennie” (Legge) Sottile. On February 2, 1954 she married Kenneth E. “Gene” Wyerman in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2018 after 64 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Gina E. Williams (David) of rural Williamsburg; two grandchildren: Lorie L. Nicewonger of rural Williamsburg and Cory A. Williams of Jensen Beach, FL; two great-grandsons: Garrett and Cole Nicewonger; a sister, Joann M. Lang (William) of Moncks Corner, SC; two nieces: Kelly Clouser (Chris) of Moncks Corner, SC and Jennie Breslin (Mike) of Midland, TX; and a nephew, Louis Lang (Autumn) of Mechanicsburg.
She was preceded in death by a special grandson, Shawn Nicewonger; and two sisters: Cindy Bartnick and Dolores Schwaderer.
Frances was a 1950 graduate of Williamsburg High School. Following graduation she was employed for a few years at Sylvania in Altoona. After the passing of her mother, Frances started helping her father at their family’s restaurant, Louie’s Coral Lounge Inc. on Short Mountain in rural Williamsburg, where she worked alongside her family for 50 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Williamsburg. Frances loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and also enjoyed cooking and flower gardening.
Her family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Celebration Villa of Altoona, for the wonderful care she received while living there.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg where a vigil for the deceased will be recited. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am, Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Williamsburg, Father Aron M. Maghsoudi celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
