Frederick C. Parks, 76, Williamsburg and long time resident of New Florence, passed away Tuesday morning at UPMC Altoona, following a brief illness.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Wilbur L. and Della B. (Breneman) Parks.  On August 16, 1969 he married Maxine B. Lilly in Williamsburg.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years; a daughter, Stacy D. Parks of Warfordsburg; a son, Matthew F. (Michelle) of Williamsburg; and 3 grandchildren: Riley, Samuel and Ingrid Parks.

Fred was a 1959 graduate of Williamsburg High School and also attended the Williamsport Technical Institute.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Bonner Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg and Portage Lodge #220 F&AM, Hollidaysburg.

Fred retired in 1995 from the Pennsylvania Electric Company, New Florence, (formerly Penelec) with over 25 years of service.

He loved telling stories, mowing grass, and also enjoyed washing and working on his cars.

Friends will be received from 5pm-7pm, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a celebration of life service will be held at 7pm, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich and Mr. David Cadle officiating.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Mending Hearts, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
