Fredrick Hamilton Rainear, 64, of Martinsburg, passed May 29, 2026 into God’s hands. Fred is survived by his life partner, Crist Clapper. He is also survived by his triplet brothers, Floyd and Frank, a brother Karl, and a sister Ruth Kounelias, all of New Jersey; a niece Lauren Drew, and a nephew Alex Kemble. He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin Rainear Sr. and Ruth (Varner) Rainear-Agans.
Fred was a United State Army Veteran, during which time in service he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal on two occasions. He was also awarded the FORSCOM Coin and the Army Commendation Medal. Fred continued his service to our country as a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol in which he held several positions, and was a member of the Air Force Association. He was a member of the Clover Creek Church of the Brethren. Fred had also volunteered with the Brethren Disaster Ministries refurbishing homes for the less fortunate.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 4 pm until the 6 pm funeral service at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg, with Pastor Duane Crumrine officiating. Burial will be private.
