Gail King Ziminsky, 71, of James Creek, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2025, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with melanoma.
Born December 27, 1953, in Georgetown, Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Richard Edward King, Sr. and Joan Weinacht King. Gail graduated from Robert E. Peary High School in 1971 and worked for more than two decades as an Instructional Data Analyst at Clear Spring Elementary School, retiring in 2012. She devoted her life to her family and especially cherished her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alvin Charles Ziminsky; sons Jon Michael (wife Laura) and Kevin Charles (partner Holly Cunningham); grandchildren Hannah Lynn and Evan Richard; sister Noni Peterson (husband Jim); sister-in-law Kathy Ziminsky (husband John); and father-in-law Alvin Charles Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Minnie Ziminsky, her brother REK King and her brother-in-law Gene Ziminsky.
A remembrance service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Hyattstown Christian Church, 26012 Frederick Rd, Clarksburg, MD 20871. A celebration of life will follow Saturday, October 4, at noon at 17119 River Rock Dr, James Creek, PA.
