GAILA D. SHOEMAKER, 58 Of the Village at Morrisons Cove. Formerly of Woodbury, Died 07/13/2014 at the Village. Born 03/06/1956 in Roaring Spring, the daughter of Ray and Evelyn (Mentzer) Helsel. Married Dennis M. Shoemaker on 05/20/1978 in Martinsburg. She was a member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren and had worked at Quality Manufacturing Sewing Factory, Martinsburg and was a Woodbury Tax collector for 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, Cooking and was a member of the Southern Cove Fireman’s Aux. and was 2006 Aux. Member of the Year, She also Vol. for 12 years with the Boy Scouts troop 484.
Survived by her husband, one sister Donna and husband Thomas Yingling of RD Martinsburg 3 Nieces Sarah Kolbe (Michael), Leah Yingling and Emme Goodyear (Michael) one grand-niece Olivia Kolbe. She was preced in death by her only son Andrew d. Shoemaker who died Unexpectedly on 02/08/2014.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday the 15th at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home and 10-11am Wed. the 16th at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren where an 11am service will be held by Pastor Andrew Duffy. Interment in the Dry Hill Cemetery., Memorials maybe made to the Southern Cove Fire Co. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
