Gary Edward Hall, 80, of New Enterprise, passed away on February 9, 2025 at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. He was born on July 11, 1944 in Roaring Spring; son of the late George and Romaine (Whetstone) Hall. On June 26, 1965 in Winchester, Virginia, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Leanna (Imler) Hall.

Gary was a Class of 1962 graduate of Northern Bedford High School and member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart for his actions and dedication. Gary drove truck for E F Smith, Inc. for 30 plus years, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, Penn State and Steeler Football, NASCAR, his church, and helping with Brethren Disaster Relief projects. Gary was a gifted mechanic on family vehicles and lawn mowers and would help anyone in need.

Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Dennis Hall. Surviving is his wife, of almost 60 years, Leanna; daughter, Leslie Kagarise (Brian) of Waldorf, Maryland; son, Chris Hall (Mary Jo) of Chambersburg; son, Chad Hall (Amy) of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Celeste Kagarise (Brady), Alexis Kagarise, Cameron Hall (Megan), Kayla Hall, Ryan Hall, and Kathryn Hall; sister, Bonnie Keyser (Jim, dec.); sister, Charlotte Boone (Ron); brother, George Hall; sister, Barbara Darbie (Mike); brother, Sam Hall; and sister, Freda Dibert (John).

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren from 9:00AM until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00AM; Pastor Paul Snyder officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery – Martinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Gary’s name may be given to the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren or Fisher House Foundation Inc. (12300 Twinbrook Pkwy. Suite 410 Rockville, MD 20852).
