Gary W. Furry, Sr.

Gary W. Furry, Sr., 85, of New Enterprise, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1940 in New Enterprise; son of the late Glenn W. and Freda P. (Ebersole) Furry. On July 10, 1958 in Cumberland, Maryland, he was united in marriage to Nellie M. (Wright) Furry; she preceded him in death on May 26, 2024.

Gary worked for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. as a Yuke Operator for many years. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nellie; and a sister, Kay. Surviving is daughter, Mindy Feathers (Jack); son, Gary W. Furry, Jr.; grandchildren: Jonathan, Amanda, Aaron, Stephen, Emily, Doug, and Dustin; 11 great-grandchildren with another on the way; one great-great grandchild; and sisters: Sylvia Tyson (George) and Londa Calorafe (Rob).

At request of the deceased, no services will be held. Private Interment will be in New Enterprise Cemetery.
