Geraldine T. “Deanie” Miller

Geraldine T. “Deanie” Miller, 92, of Fredericksburg, rural Martinsburg, passed away Saturday morning, May 29, 2021 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late James W. and Ethel I. (Leasure) Campbell.  On September 11, 1947 she married Robert B. Miller Sr. in Cumberland, MD.  He preceded her in death on September 1, 2020.

Surviving are five grandchildren: Aaron K. (Jennifer) Miller of Saxton, Lee C. (Carrie) Miller of Roaring Spring, Lucas R. (Lisa) Miller of Cresson, Derek S. (Tara) Shaffer of State College and Dana M. (Allen) Saylor of Pennsylvania Furnace; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert B. Miller Jr.; a daughter, Patricia D. (Miller) Shaffer; three brothers: Robert, Richard and James “Pork” Campbell; and three sisters, Janet E. Notestine, Margaret “Peggy” Smith and Audrey Mae Hoover.

Deanie was a longtime member of Henrietta Church of God. She retired in 2007 as a house cleaner with almost 50 years of service.

She loved spending time with her family, baking cookies, gardening and doing housework. Deanie also enjoyed shopping and going out to eat.

Friends will be received from 4-6pm, Sunday, June 6, 2021 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a memorial service will follow at 6pm, Pastor Paul R. Campbell officiating.

Memorial contributions in memory of Deanie may be given to Martinsburg Vol. Fire Company Station #80, 205 S. Market St., Martinsburg, PA 16662.
