Geraldine L. Eicher, 89, Martinsburg, passed away late Friday at Homewood at Martinsburg.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Arthur and Sylvia (Fickes) Jamison.  On April 11, 1948 she married James W. Eicher in Altoona and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1979.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah J. Karns (Roy) of Martinsburg; a son, James W. Eicher Jr. (Sally) of East Freedom; 6 grandchildren: Stacie Everhart (Jeff), Nicole Sollenberger (Melinda), Andy Eicher (Lori), Matthew Eicher, Wes Smith and Kelly Smith; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Leanna Shelow and Thelma Helsel; and a brother, Wilbur Jamison.

Geraldine was a member of Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, rural Martinsburg.  She retired as a housekeeper from Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring and had also been employed at the Cove Shoe Factory, Martinsburg for many years.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Geraldine also enjoyed doing puzzles and crocheting.

Friends will be received from 3-8pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, rural Martinsburg.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the church, Pastor David F. Banaszak officiating.  Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Clover Creek Church of the Brethren Youth Group, 218 Rebecca Furnace Rd., Martinsburg, PA 16662.
