Glenn Randal “Randy” Potts, 62, of rural Roaring Spring, passed away Saturday evening, December 4, 2021 at UPMC Altoona, following complications from multiple strokes.

He was born in Altoona, son of Barbara Calderwood.  On May 16, 2009 he married Tammie J. Leach in rural Roaring Spring.

Surviving are his wife of 12 years; his mother of Altoona, three children: Kim Fagan (Billy) of Bellwood, Dalton Mowry (Jocelyn Wilt) of rural Roaring Spring and Lori Hall of Altoona; five grandchildren: Samantha and Lucas Fagan, Cory, Darren and Cassandra Hall; a brother, Chris Potts  (Lydia) of Altoona; and his aunt, Sandie Potts of Bellwood.

Randy was preceded in death by his uncle, Gerald Potts, who helped raise him.

He was a 1977 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School.  Randy was employed as the district manager for Driveline Retail Merchandising.  He also worked for many years as a sales representative in the food service industry and for Valspar Paints.

Randy loved coaching basketball and was currently the head coach for the Spring Cove Junior High School Girl’s Team.  He also coached his daughter, Kim for many years in Bellwood, starting in her elementary days and also through the many AAU tournaments and high school games.

He also enjoyed riding horses with his wife, Tammie and was longtime member and served as president for the past 8 years for the Chestnut Ridge Horseman’s Club.

On October 4, 2019 Randy received a special gift from a family friend, Jessica Wilt.  She gave him the gift of life with a new kidney.  Over the past two years the kidney has functioned perfectly and was truly a God-send for Randy.   His passing was in no way related to his transplant or procedure.

Family and friends are welcome to share stories and celebrate Randy’s life from 3-7pm, Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Grace Fellowship Church, (Leamersville Campus) Social Hall.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
