Gloria Jean Bridges

Gloria Jean Bridges, age 73, of Loysburg, formerly of Hyndman, died Monday, January 20, 2025 at UPMC Bedford. Born September 26, 1951 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Ronald V. and Myrtle A. (McKenzie) Bridges.

Surviving are four children: Jeana Ritchey (Lincoln) of Woodbury, Tina Ritchey (Eric) of Woodbury, Dina Sensenig (Jacob) of New Enterprise, and Nicholas Broadwater of Loysburg; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and five siblings: Barbara Tayor of Frostburg, MD, Sharon Black of Frostburg, MD, Donna Jenkins (Cliff) of Hyndman, Brenda Bloss (Dave) of Mt. Savage, MD, and Ronald Bridges (Cindy) of Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman E. “Gene” Brick, in 2008.

Gloria was a graduate of Mt. Savage High School in Maryland. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Gloria was very loved and she enjoyed taking care of others.

Friends will be received from 10am until the noon Celebration of Life on Sat., Feb. 1, 2025 at Stone Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Woodbury. Pastor Alan Brumbaugh will officiate.
