     Gloria Jean Smith 84, of Duncansville, formerly of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Winds at Mattern Orchard, Duncansville. She was born on January 18, 1942 in Altoona a daughter of the late James R. and Gladys (Wilson) Reese. On July 15, 1972 she married Roger Lee Smith who preceded her in death on September 17, 2009. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her son Roger Dwight Smith, and three sisters: Jane McGregor, Faye Vickery, and Judy Tomlinson.

     Gloria was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and Shippensburg University where she majored in Business Education. She was a Business Education teacher at Northern Bedford High School until the mid 1970’s when her son was born. Dwight was the center of her world, her pride and joy. Gloria attended Hicks Memorial Methodist Church, in Duncansville, and was active in their choir. She enjoyed photography, cooking, and baking.

     Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg, with Pastor Rich Morris officiating. Friends will be received on hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Private interment at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hicks Memorial Methodist Church, 1211 3rd Avenue, Duncansville, PA 166353.
