Grace Roberta Kensinger, 81, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. She was born at home in Woodbury, PA; the daughter of the late James and Grace Ellen Beach. She married Robert W. Kensinger on May 19, 1956 in Woodbury, PA. Surviving are her husband of 60 years and daughters: Jill Simmons (Gary) of Roaring Spring and Amanda Ritchey (Chris) of Bear Lake. She has four grandchildren: Melissa, Frank, Amanda and Robert and one great granddaughter, Vendala along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters: James Beach, Blossom Lego, Mary Kathryn Ebersole Reichard, David Beach and Helen Beach. She was a life-long member of WCOB and became a Child of God at 13 years of age. She loved music, singing in the church choir and in her younger years she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and leading the children’s choir. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, reading, playing the piano and many crafts and her pet cats. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 2nd from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and Friday, March 3rd from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. At 11:00AM, Friday a Funeral Service will take place with Pastor David Ulm officiating. All of the above will take place at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren, 4359 Woodbury Pike, Woodbury PA 16695. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery. Memorials in her memory can be made to the Woodbury Church of the Brethren or The Gideons International.
