H. Betty Feath, 95, of Martinsburg and currently a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg passed away Saturday morning, April 8, 2023 at the home.

She was born in Martinsburg, daughter of the late Eldie L. and Harriet (Mock) Smith.  On July 22, 1950 she married Charles J. Feath in Winchester, VA.  He preceded her in death on January 23, 2015 following 64 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: Joyce A. Holsinger (Tom) and Lisa A. Steward (Jeff) both of Roaring Spring; a son, C. Kevin Feath (Jodie) of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren: Michael, Tyson (Erin), Jeffrey, Jeremy (Kayla), Kyle and Lindsey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six sisters: Ola Furry, Lillian Wineland, Gladys Weaver, F. Lucille Baker, Marian Smith and Lois Cowan; and two brothers: Glenn Smith and Eldie Smith Jr.

Betty was a 1945 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg.  She was primarily a homemaker who also worked at the U.S. Post Office in Martinsburg and at the Nason Hospital Snack Bar in Roaring Spring.

She was a longtime, faithful member of Martinsburg Memorial Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Home Builders Sunday school class, Women’s Fellowship Group and the Ladies Knitting Group.  Betty was also a member of the Nason Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered as a Cub Scout den mother.

Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and also enjoyed sewing and knitting.

Friends will be received from 10 until 11am, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Martinsburg Memorial Church of the Brethren, where a funeral service will begin at 11am, Mr. Eric Martin and Pastor Dave Crumrine officiating.  Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Betty may be given to Homewood at Martinsburg Benevolent Fund, 437 Givler Dr., Martinsburg, PA 16662 or Memorial Church of the Brethren, 210 N. Wall St., Martinsburg, PA 16662.
