Harold H. Feather, 91, a resident of Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg, passed away peacefully and joined his Savior Wednesday evening at the home.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late J. Howard and Mary (Stoner) Feather.  On August 18, 1949, he married Marilyn A. Hoover in Roaring Spring.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years; daughter Susan A. Benner (Dave) of Nashville, TN; son Ryan W. (Suzanne) of Martinsburg; daughter Sandra J. Fisher of Roaring Spring; son Phil K. (Colleen) of Glenside; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, A. Lois Hostetter of Martinsburg.

He was preceded in death by stepmother, Elsie (Carper) Feather; a son Randall K.; an infant grandson, Ethan R. Fisher; a son-in-law Shane Fisher; a brother, Eugene H.; and two sisters: E. Arlene Martin and Eunice J.Hostetter.

Harold was a 1943 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School and was a co-manager of Feather Petroleum in Martinsburg for 35 years.

He attended both Mt. Pleasant United Church of Christ and Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, where he was a member and served as an elder.   He was a charter member of the Morrisons Cove Gideons and served faithfully for many years.

Harold was U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a long-time member of the Martinsburg Boosters and Rotary.  He was a devoted family man who lived an exemplary life of service.

Friends will be received beginning at 10am followed by a 12 noon Celebration of Life service Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, Pastor J. Brant Leidy officiating.
