Harriet V. Bowser, 83, of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday evening, November 13, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Myrl R. and Anna K. (Detwiler) Parks. Harriet was twice married, first to Charles E. Luke, who preceded her in death in 1961 and then to Dennis Leroy Bowser, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2000.

Surviving are a daughter, Lorrie Lynn Luke of Murfreesboro, TN; two step-sons, Dennis LeRoy Bowser Jr. (Jane) of Flinton and Randy A. Bowser (Debbie) of Anderson, SC; six grandchildren: Jordan Pilkington (Kendal) of Harrisburg, IL, Joshua Pilkington (Breanna) of Ridgeway, IL, Valerie Atkison (Darrell) Fountain Inn, SC, Kristen Reies (Will) of Deltona, FL, Jason Bowser (Kim) of Mill Creek and Alyssa Bowser of Anderson, SC;  12 great-grandchildren: Finley Aud, Waverly Pilkington, Calla Pilkington, Selah Pilkington, Hattie Pilkington and Alta Pilkington all of Harrisburg, IL, Kolby Pilkington, Ridgeway, IL, Victoria Atkison, Regan Atkison and Elliott Atkison all of Fountain Inn, SC, Makayla Reies and Noah Reies both of Delton, FL; also surviving are many other loved and cherished family members.

Harriet was a 1960 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  She worked as a Quality Control Technician at Westvaco in Williamsburg for over 20 years.

She was a longtime faithful member of Grace Pointe Community Church, formerly the Williamsburg Church of God.

Harriet loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed making ceramics, shopping and going out to eat with friends.

Friends will be received from 11:30am until 1pm, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Grace Pointe Community Church, Williamsburg, where a funeral service will begin at 1pm at the church, Pastor Joshua Kirksey officiating.  Private interment will be held at Shellytown-Fairview Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
