Heather Renae (Smith) Wilson, 42, of Williamsburg, passed away Monday evening, July 10, 2023 at UPMC Altoona, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Richard E. and Elizabeth C. (Strayer) Smith.

Surviving along with her parents are two children: Shaylynn R. Wilson, of Bradford and David M. Wilson of Williamsburg; a brother, Richard A. “Rick” Smith (Crystal), of Williamsburg; a sister, Kimberly D. Smith, of Williamsburg; a niece, Angel; two nephews: Waylon and Zaylon; an uncle, Robert “Bobby” Strayer; an aunt, Peggy Chesney; and numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Philip R. Price; paternal grandparents: Melvin and Shirley Smith; maternal grandparents: Robert and Joan Strayer; two aunts: Susie Beatty and Tina Detwiler; and two uncles: Terry Smith and John Wayne Smith.

Heather was a 2000 graduate of Central High School and a member of Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg.

She was employed at Cove Forge Behavioral Health Center until her cancer diagnosis.

Heather enjoyed bowling, camping, and riding four-wheelers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and her niece and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m., Rowdy Kagarise officiating.

Memorial contributions in memory of Heather may be given to John K. Bolger Funeral Home, Inc., 424 West Second Street, Williamsburg, PA 16693 to help defray expenses.
