Helen E. Roberts, 83, of Media, Delaware County, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, August 13, 2020, at her residence.

She was born in Lavelle, daughter of the late Robert W. and Ethel (Wetzel) Ebert.  On March 11, 1961 at the Havertown Lutheran Church, she married Fred E. Roberts, who was born and raised in Williamsburg.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 59 years; a son, Robert F. Roberts of Media; a brother, Robert W. Ebert of Morgantown; a sister, Beatrice A. Dillon of Albrightsville; two step-siblings: Albert W. Paul of Telford and Bella M. Paul in Schuylkill County.

Helen was a 1954 graduate of Ashland High School and was employed as a directory assistance operator for Verizon, Upper Darby with a total of 43 years of dedicated service.

She was a former member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Friends of the Middletown Library and was formerly active with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local chapter. Helen enjoyed flower gardening and loved searching for and purchasing her many collectibles.

Friends will be received from 12:30pm until 2pm, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 2pm, Reverend James D. Spivey officiating.  Interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

Memorial contributions in memory of Helen can be given to Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063.
