Hobert G. “Hoby” Hoffman, 84, Brockport, NY formerly of Martinsburg passed away Tuesday morning at his son’s home in Kernersville, NC after a brief illness. He was born in Steuben County, NY, son of the late John H. and Clara B. (McCormick) Hoffman. He married Betty Lou Blake on September 29, 1951. She preceded him in death on April 6, 2010. Surviving are a son, Douglas L. (Kelly) of Kernersville, NC; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons: Gerald “Jerry” and Robert “Bob”.
Hoby was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.
A public graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 am, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg, Pastor Dorothy L. Steele officiating.
