Imogene M. Shelly, 64, Pittsburgh formerly of Williamsburg passed away Thursday afternoon at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Eugene H. and E. Jean (Shultz) Shelly.

Surviving is a sister, Lugene C. Shelly of Williamsburg.

Imogene was a 1969 graduate of Williamsburg High School, a 1973 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, State College and was a 1996 graduate of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Citizens Police Academy.

She retired in 2013 from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Allegheny County Department of Human Services; Imogene also had been employed with the Department of Children, Youth and Families, Foster Care Department, Adoption Department, Orphans Court and the Intake Department for Allegheny County, with a total of 35 years of service.

Imogene was a docent volunteer for the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for over 20 years. She also was a member of the Keystone Canine Training Club and enjoyed competing in agility competitions with her beloved dogs, Morgan and Maisie (M&M).

She loved all animals but had a special place in her heart for Morgan and Maisie and her pet cats, Josie and Laura.

A memorial picnic will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Canoe Creek State Park, rural Holllidaysburg, Pastor Lee D. Saylor officiating.
