JACOB “JAKE” C. MILLER Co-owner of Miller Auto, Passed away at his home on 11/15/2013 in Woodbury after an extended illness.
Mr. Miller was born on June 14, 1924 in Woodbury, the son of Brice and Dorothy (Ritter) Miller. He married Marian (Kagarise) in New Enterprise on 04/12/1944.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by these sons; Thomas and wife Donna (Lage), Steven and wife Kathy (Ringler) of Woodbury, Brice and wife Lisa (Schaeffer) of Bordertown and Daughter Susanne Marchi and husband Fred of Hollidaysburg.
“Pap Jake” was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather to Kristen Rulewich, husband Joe and children J.T. and Kamryn of New Jersey and Eric and Amy (Metzler) and girls Reece and Quinn of Martinsburg Lucas and Jennie (Hershberger) and girls Carson, Brynn and Lily of Salemville and Abby Reininger, husband Brody and daughter Kitt of Bordertown. He is also survived by a sister, Beverly Ritchey and brother’s George Wayne and Dwight. His brother Gene preceded him in death.
Jake was a 1942 graduate of Replogle High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-1946. He was a charter member of the Raver’s Gap Sportsman Club, a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren and the co-owner of Miller Auto with his brother “Mose” for many years. A private service will be held for the family by Rev. Larry Graybill. The family prefers memorials contributions to be given to the southern Cove EMS organization. Arrangements by the S.
