James C. Beach

James C. Beach, 92, of Martinsburg, formerly of Woodbury, passed away on June 19, 2019 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. He was born on April 6, 1927 in Henrietta, son of the late Harry B. and Clara A. (Haffley) Beach. On May 8, 1948 in York, he was united in marriage with Evelyn (Kensinger) Beach. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2012. James was a graduate of Woodbury High School and served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy from May 17, 1945 to August 2, 1946. He was employed by New Enterprise Stone and Lime for many years. James was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn; a daughter Sandra; a brother Robert Beach; and sisters Phyllis Roberts and V. Madge Over. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. At request of the deceased, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
