JAMES EDWARD JOHNSON, 75, Of New Enterprise died 10/05/2014 at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. Born 07/27/1939 at New Enterprise. The son of Charles and Alice (Detwiler) Johnson. Married Helen (Lesh) on 08/04/1961 Winchester, VA
Member of the Hopewell Grace Brethren Church. He had been a Truck driver for Specter Freight and The New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co.
Graduated from Replogle High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and flea marketing.
Survivors: his wife Helen, one daughter Patricia A. Johnson both of New Enterprise and two sons Paul J. Johnson of St Thomas and Kevin J. Johnson of New Enterprise, two brothers Clyde R. Johnson of New Jersey and Paul Johnson of Roaring Spring, 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by siblings Nancy, George, Roy, Barbara, Charles, Bernard, Majorie, Clarence, Franklin, Harry, Edith and Robert.
Friends Received: 6-8pm Friday the 10th at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home and 10 to 11am Sat. the 11th at the Everett Grace Brethren Church where an 11am service will beheld by Pastor Melvin VanOrman. Interment in the New Enterprise Cemetery.
