James L. Emery

James L. Emery, 97, of Altoona, passed away on September 10, 2022 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on August 28, 1925 in Altoona, son of the late Julius L. and Grace C. (Steiner) Emery.  James was a Class of 1943 graduate of Altoona High School.  He served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Navy.  James retired from Conrail in 1987.  At request of the deceased, no services will be held.  Inurnment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Altoona.  Arrangements by Stone Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
