James R. Donaldson, Jr.

James R. Donaldson, Jr., 70, of Six Mile Run, passed away on August 13, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 18, 1953 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania; son of the late James R., Sr. and Elizabeth (Griffith) Donaldson. On September 2, 1972 in Broad Top, he was united in marriage to Cindy (Miller) Donaldson, who survives.

James was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and attended Penn Foster Career School, studying fitness and nutrition. He was a Tool and Die Manager at Seton Leather Company – SEPA and worked as a corrections officer at the Bedford County Jail. James was a member of the Media Members Family Worship Center, Baton Rouge, LA and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing with his family at the lake or river, hunting, and loved doing taxidermy of his fish and game.

James was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and David Donaldson. Surviving is his wife, Cindy Donaldson; son, Barry Donaldson of Altoona; son, David Donaldson of Pittsburgh; daughter, Jamie Covert (Allen Jr.) of Riddlesburg; sister, Deb Young; brother, Brian Donaldson; as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

At request of the deceased, services will be held privately. If so desired, contributions in James’s name may be made to Stone Funeral Home.
