Jane D. Greenleaf, 94, of Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday evening, May 1, 2025, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Joseph Garber and Leda Maude (Soyster) Dick.  On October 20, 1951, she married Robert M. Greenleaf in Martinsburg, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2015.

Surviving are four sons: Robert M. Greenleaf Jr. (Barb) and Joseph D. Greenleaf, both of Martinsburg, and Ronald M. Greenleaf (Vickie) and Richard M. Greenleaf (Karen), both of Alaska; 10 grandchildren: Gabe, John, Chris, James, Danielle Schwarz, Josh, Ben, and Alicia Greenleaf, Laura Bailey and Erika Ekstrom; 24 great-grandchildren, including 3 sets of twins; and numerous extended family members.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ruby Hoover; and four brothers: Gerald Arthur Dick, Joseph Soyster Dick, Donald Sylvester Dick, and Galen Roger Dick.

Jane was a 1949 graduate of Roaring Spring High School where she was the 1949 Mayqueen. She was a lifelong member of the Martinsburg Memorial Church of the Brethren where she served with the women’s fellowship. She helped her husband operate Greenleaf builders for 50 years. Jane cherished her family and her church activities.

She enjoyed eating out, her favorite treats being 2 Cheeseburgers and ice-cream. Jane also enjoyed watching Pittsburgh and Penn State teams, Central teams, especially boys’ basketball having attended games every year for the past 6 decades, always looking to see if there was somebody she knew! She loved watching the birds out her kitchen window, going to yard sales, playing the piano and singing. Having raised 4 sons, Jane's home was always the gathering place, for all the local neighborhood boys.  Whenever asked how she was doing, her reply was always “one day at a time”.

Friends will be received from 10 until 11am, Friday May 9, 2025 at the Martinsburg Memorial Church of the Brethren, where a funeral service will begin at 11am, Mr. Eric Martin officiating.  Private interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
