Jane H. Elliott, 89, a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away early Sunday morning, January 22, 2017, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late David I. and Maude M. (Shoenfelt) Helsel. On December 10, 1948 she married Clifton "Tippy" Elliott in Roaring Spring. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1981.

Surviving are three grandchildren: Erin Smith (Travis) of rural Martinsburg, Michael (Tiffany) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Matthew (Katie) of Woodbury; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Elliott (Gary Polchito) of Martinsburg.

She was preceded in death by a son, David C. Elliott on August 9, 2014.

Jane was a 1945 graduate of Roaring Spring High School, and a member of Christ Church, Roaring Spring.

She was primarily a homemaker, who enjoyed keeping a neat home and loved spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 4-7 pm, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 7 pm, Pastor Joel C. Kletzing officiating. Private interment will be held at Holsinger Cemetery, Bakers Summit.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to either the Martinsburg or Roaring Spring community libraries.
