Jean “Momma Jean” Kent, 94, resident of Homewood at Martinsburg formerly of Palm Bay, FL, passed away early Wednesday morning at Homewood.

She was born in Brazil, IN, daughter of the late, William and Janet (Nairn) Hardman.  She married Reverend Clay Kent on October 8, 1942 in Baltimore, MD.  He preceded her in death on August 12, 1999.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Paula J. Sell of Martinsburg and Michele Lynn Woronka of Palm Bay, FL; 5 grandchildren: Bill Sell, twins - Mike and Chris Sell, Ricky Woronka and Cassandra Woronka; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William Hardman; and a son-in-law, Rick Woronka.

Jean was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, reading, bargain hunting, collecting nutcrackers and especially loved watching Chicago Cubs baseball.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public services.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Roaring Spring Community Library.
