Jill Ann Clapper, 63, of Martinsburg, formerly of Hopewell Township, passed away on January 10, 2025 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center – Roaring Spring. She was born on September 3, 1961 in Roaring Spring; daughter of Joseph H. Jr. and Dolores Marie (Batzel) Clapper.
Jill was a graduate of Northern Bedford County High School and member of the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren. She worked for the State of Pennsylvania in a variety of clerical positions, most recently as Administrative Assistant at the Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home. Jill loved to garden, bake (especially desserts), spend time with her family, and shopping and traveling with her mom, her best friend. She was a great supporter of Christian Missionary Work around the globe and avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and ice cream.
Jill was preceded in death by her father, Joseph H. Clapper, Jr.; brother, Steven W. Clapper; and great niece, Gianna Marie Clapper. Surviving is her mother, Dolores M. Clapper of Martinsburg; brother, Eric J. Clapper (Maggie) of Hopewell Township; brother, Joseph H. Clapper, III (Christy) of Boalsburg; nephews, Seth Clapper (Allie) and Bronson Clapper (Hannah); niece, Laura Zabanal (John Rine); as well as great-nephews, Benjamin, Elijah, Luke, and Julien.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 12:30PM until the 2:00PM Funeral Service at the Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury; Reverend Daniel Christopher officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery, Hopewell Township.
