Jo Ann Smith, 75 of Hopewell RD Died 09/12/2013 at the UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born 07/29/1938 in New Enterprise the Daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Horton) Imler Married Eugene M. Smith Sr. 04/02/1960 at Yellow Creek. She was a member of the  Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren and was a Nurses aide for twelve years. Her interest where cross stitching, reading historical novels, family well being and expansion of Gods kingdom, pastors wife. She was a girl scout leader for a season, church choir and commissions, deaconess, Sunday school and VBS teacher.
Surviving: her husband two daughters Theresa M. and husband Steven Day, of Reading, PA, Gwen J. and her sons Mario and Jett Canavarro of West Chester, PA one son Eugene M. (Max) Smith II and wife Laurie and there children Casey and Monica and son Parker E. of West Chester, PA, four sisters Patricia White, Beverly Oaks, Rebecca Law and Pamella Rhodes, Three brothers Tom, Frank, and Harland Imler. Preceded in death by sister Donna King, brothers Chester, Alfred (Aug)and Roger.
Friends received for time of remembrances and fellowship 10 – 11am Monday the 16th at the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren where a 11am Memorial service will be held by Rev. Alan E. Brumbaugh. Memorials maybe made to the Funeral Home to help with expenses. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver FH, Woodbury.
