Joanna L. Marsh

Joanna Lynn (King) Marsh, 80, of York PA, formerly of Cherry Hill N.J., passed away on January 28, 2026 while surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 9, 1945 in Roaring Spring, PA. Married Donald E Marsh on Sept. 11, 1965.

Joanne, known as “Josie” to her oldest friends, was retired from several jobs in accounts payable, real estate and food service. She filled her days with her passions—reading mysteries, socializing with her various women’s groups, traveling and visiting with her grandchildren. She received an associate’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University and attended Camden County College and Rutgers University.

She was preceded in death by her husband (2005), her brother William (1999), her parents John Arthur (1983) and Alma (Bowser) King (1996). Surviving are her daughters Lisa M. Marsh of New York City and Wendie Marsh Harrison of Bethesda MD, grandchildren Lillian Marsh Mangan, Christian Marsh Harrison, Daniel Marsh Mangan; nephew John King, niece Amanda King Tafuto and many other close friends and family members. Also, her companion Edward Brothers of York, PA.

     Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg. Private interment at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to your local library or The Salvation Army.
