Joanne Mae (Kimmel) Mock

Joanne Mae Mock, 85, of Martinsburg, formerly of Woodbury, passed away on October 18, 2020 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born on September 15, 1935 in New Paris; daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Mickel) Kimmel. On February 6, 1960 in Winchester, she was united in marriage to Albert O. Mock Jr.; he preceded her in death on January 10, 2008. Joanne was a Class of 1954 graduate of Bedford High School. She was a Registered Nurse for 36 years at the Memorial Hospital of Bedford County. She was a member of the ACCN-UMW, Friends of the Martinsburg Library, and the Faith United Methodist Church. Joanne enjoyed family time, nursing, reading, and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; daughter Cathy Lynn in August of 1966; brother Robert Kimmel; and son-in-law Rodger Mellott. Surviving are daughter Beth A. Mellott of Woodbury; grandson Brett Mellott (Nikki) of Denver, PA; grandson Matt Mellott (Kim) of Portage, PA; and great-grandson Jackson Dawson. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 10:00-11:00AM. At 11:00AM, a Funeral Service will take place with Pastor Joshua Tobias officiating. All of the above will be held at the Faith United Methodist Church in Woodbury. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Joanne’s name can be made to the Faith United Methodist Church or the Martinsburg Community Library.
